Nico García-Peguinho

Nico [Ne3k0] is a UK based musician and researcher. He's currently a PhD student in Electronic Engineering & Computer Science at the Centre for Digital Music [C4DM], Queen Mary University of London. His research revolves around interpretable and eXplainable AI [XAI] methods for audio and music neural networks, with a particular interest in exploring their internal mechanics: the epistemologies and ontologies embedded in their representations, what biases these encode and how these networks may be repurposed for critical, creative and experimental ends. Outside of his research, he builds music technology and makes/performs music under various aliases.
